Volunteer for Marshfield Fair Parking

This is Marshfield Friends of Music's biggest, most lucrative, and most demanding fundraiser of the year. It's 10 DAYS straight August 20th - August 31st from 11:30AM-9:30PM. We need your help!
Students do much of the work in the parking lots.
All high school students are asked to volunteer at least one shift -- this includes incoming 9th graders. FBMS students are welcome to work as long as they have a parent working, and they will be allowed to wave cars down (not work directly in the lot directing traffic).
Earn $11 per hour!
Use it for your music department trips! Use it for uniform needs! Use it for audition fees! The possibilities continue.... Students will earn credit in their music account for each shift worked; parents/guardians can also earn this credit for their students by working shifts. Each shift is 3.5 hours so students earn $35 per shift! Please choose as many dates and shifts that work for you. We appreciate all the help you can give as we do need lots of help for this each year. This year we need even more help because we are at Grace Ryder -- one large lot and one small lot, so that means we need more people overall.
Earn a $5 per shift bonus!
Sign up for your shifts by June 30 (AND show up to work them) and you'll earn an extra $5 for that shift (total of $40 for that shift!!).
Earn a free Marshfield Fair Mega Pass!
Sign up for 8 or more shifts by June 30 (AND show up to work those 8 shifts) and you will receive a FREE fair mega pass!! *If you do not show up to work all 8 shifts then the cost of the Mega Pass will be taken out of your student account. If you would rather have the value of the Mega Pass put into your account versus accepting the pass, that is also an option.
If you have any questions about fair parking, please contact Colleen Casey at 617-571-1787 (call/text) or FOMfairparking@gmail.com.
STUDENT REMINDER: Fair parking hours can count toward your MHS graduation community service requirement (but not for NHS hours). If you are short hours, sign up for some extra shifts! When you compelte your log, put Mrs. Casey's name and contact details as the person who can verify your hours.
Weather Note: The parking lot remains open rain or shine, UNLESS the Marshfield Fair opts to close for the day. In the case of a thunderstorm, volunteers take shelter in a vehicle (captain, adult, their own) until the storm passes. If there is a long forecast of rain, some volunteers will not be required to show up, or stay (to be determined by the captain and will be contacted accordingly). As long as the parking lot is open, we need a few volunteers to show cars where to go, even if it is raining. Set-Up and Tear-Down sometimes take place in the rain because we have no choice.
